Stef Mendell

Global Communications

Stef Mendell is the head of Global Communications for Stiefel, a GSK company. She is responsible for providing global strategic communications direction aligned to the Stiefel commercial strategy and leads a team focused on internal communications, external communications, product communications, and digital communications.

Stef joined GSK in 1997 in R&D Communications, where she played a major role in merger and integration communications. She moved to Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) in 2001 to lead a global communications team supporting the post-merger integration of manufacturing sites. During almost ten years in GMS, Stef worked closely with members of the GMS Leadership Team on many critical initiatives. As a key member of the GMS Communications Team, Stef developed and piloted the “Leaders as Communicators” initiative which is enabling leaders to more effectively engage with employees to achieve business objectives.

Stef also contributed to a number of Corporate Communications special projects over the years and did a secondment in Global Community Partnerships in early 2005.

She earned a Masters of Science degree in Information and Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also received her undergraduate degree, Phi Beta Kappa and with honors in Psychology.
