Jim Lee
Vice President, Clinical & Medical - Dermatology

Jim was raised in Bethesda, Maryland and earned a B.A. in biochemistry from Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota. He is a graduate of the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois, receiving a Ph.D. in biochemistry and an M.D. from the College of Medicine. He received his clinical training at the Marshfield Clinic, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Jim began his career in pharmaceutical medicine over 12 years ago. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in clinical development and medical affairs at 3M Pharmaceutals, Johnson and Johnson, and Graceway Pharmaceuticals. His passion for developing new products has allowed Jim to become a leader in the development of dermatology focused products. He joins Stiefel from Graceway Pharmaceuticals where he served as Chief Medical Officer since 2007.

As Vice President, Clinical & Medical – Dermatology, Jim provides medical oversight to global dermatology R&D development programs and ensures operational excellence around clinical research activities. He serves on the Stiefel Leadership Team, Dermatology Review Board and Safety Monitoring Board and represents Stiefel on the GSK Medical Governance Executive Committee and GSK Late Stage Medical Governance board.
